Couples & Relationship Therapist in New Market, MD

If you start talking about chores and end up questioning your entire marriage or relationship, leave conversations with each other feeling more alone than when you started, or struggle with a sense of chronically walking on eggshells, you’re not alone and it doesn’t have to stay this way. I work exclusively with intimate relationships and have helped many couples stuck in cycles of conflict or disconnection to rebuild emotional safety and closeness. In our work together, we identify the patterns that keep pulling you out of connection and learn new ways to respond to each other with greater understanding, clarity, and care.

My approach with couples therapy is to collaboratively explore what keeps happening in the relationship, slow down conflict enough to hold the pain underneath the anger, and create more secure, supportive ways of relating. Many couples come to therapy feeling discouraged or unsure and leave with a stronger sense of connection, trust, and emotional intimacy.

I have extensive specialized education, training, and experience in couples therapy and relationship dynamics, and I am passionate about this being my singular professional focus. I help couples every day to shift relational patterns, so you can be sure you’re getting expert care. I value authenticity, presence, and collaboration. I particularly enjoy providing in-person couples and relationship therapy in my New Market, MD, office. It allows us to maximize connection and progress, though I do have a telehealth/virtual option if needed. Schedule an initial session or free consultation call or send me a message, and let’s work together toward a greater sense of security and connection!
About Me

I believe in doing my own work. I invest in myself and my relationships in many of the same ways I work with my clients. I am a partner, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a loyal friend. My pronouns are she/her.

I grew up in Maine and enjoy all things New England except the cold. After spending the first 18 years of my life in the same bedroom of the same house, I have spent much of my adult life moving all over the country. I settled in Maryland over 12 years ago and now consider it home.

I love music and concerts and enjoy west coast swing dancing, playing guitar, and watching sports, particularly football and soccer. I value nature and mindfulness and a good dose of casual humor.
